Vila Guará is right at the entrance of the magical Lençóis Maranhenses, a unique landscape that mixes white sand dunes with a rich supply of groundwater, a truly extraordinary spectacle to be experienced, even more so for the kite!
In addition to kitesurfing, Vila Guará offers many activities such as: cultural tour in Ponta do Mangue and Lagoa do Mario, Revoada dos Guarás and more!
Vila Guará invests in sustainable actions so that all the natural beauty of the region is preserved; so its buildings, as well as the environmental structures, are made with natural materials, creating a perfect harmony with the environment. The bathroom water is treated with biodigesters, and the water used in the restaurant is filtered. Waste is separated into dry and organic waste. In the bathrooms, natural soaps are used, and in the rooms the water is offered in glass bottles. We have prohibited the use of plastic straws. There is a vegetable garden, where fresh food is collected for the restaurant’s kitchen. We invests in local food production, using regional ingredients in cooking and hire local labor, valuing the region's economy.
The Vila Guará Bar and Restaurant is at your disposal with an incredible view of the sea, an amazing place to relax and enjoy a cocktail during sunset. In a sophisticated and friendly atmosphere, the pousada offers local cuisine with French influences, super healthy and elaborated with a lot of affection. Everything to make you feel at home!
Between July and December, kiters will find the ideal conditions in Atins. During this period, the vast and sparsely populated beaches are attended by constant land winds of 15 to 30 knots. And Vila Guará is the only one in the region that offers a complete service for guests and sailors in partnership with its kite school, integrated in the same pousada: the Atins Kiteboarding.
Vila Guará offers assistance for transfers organization to Atins. There are two main ways to get to Atins:
1- From the nearest airport to Sao Luiz (SLZ):
The simplest way is to schedule a taxi from the airport to the port of Barreirinhas and book a private boat from Barreirinhas to Atins, where a 4 × 4 should be reserved to get to the Pousada.
2- From Fortaleza Airport (for):
It is possible to arrive from the airport of Fortaleza by booking a private 4×4 until Caburé, passing through Paulino Neves. In Caburé, it will be necessary to take a boat to get to Atinsthe other side of the river.
Many people take the opportunity of this long journey to visit other places on the coast. Our recommendation is to use the transfer service offered by Vila Guará for greater comfort, safety and convenience.
