When staying in the Etnia, it is worth taking a day to get to know the Arraial and its breathtaking beaches. You can go from Trancoso to Arraial by van, car or even on foot, along the beach, traveling a distance of about 15km and contemplating the beautiful cliffs.
In addition to contributing to the promotion of education, culture and preservation of the environment through the Sociedade Amigos de Trancoso (Friends of Trancoso Society), the Pousada supports the oceanic island of Alcatrazes that has the highest level of endemism known to date and is now considered the largest birds reproductive site of the Brazilian coast, with the highest marine biodiversity in the Southeast-South region.
The capricious service also extends to the table. Breakfast is served by the pool or on the balconies of the bungalows. Plentiful and tasty, it offers cakes, breads, jams, natural juices and yoghurts, all made by hand. In the restaurant, a multi-ethnic fusion cuisine predominates with all the care of home-made food, and with re-readings of Mediterranean, Baiana and international cuisines.
In Trancoso, wind conditions are good for Kitesurfing for long periods of the year. For the experienced, there are several options of beautiful downwinds, unlike any other kiting. The windy season runs from August to February and at that time the predominant wind comes from the North or Northeast. Trancoso is one of the places where this sport was first practiced.
For those who come from abroad, most international flights arrive in: São Paulo, Salvador and Rio de Janeiro. After disembarking on Brazilian soil it is necessary to arrive at Porto Seguro. In Porto Seguro flights arrive from: São Paulo, Salvador and Belo Horizonte (for those arriving in Rio de Janeiro, you should catch an airplane to Belo Horizonte and then to Porto Seguro, since there is no direct flight from Rio de Janeiro to Porto Seguro).
After disembarking in Porto Seguro there are two ways to get to the Pousada Etnia:
Option 1: Crossing the ferry in Porto Seguro / Arraial D'Ajuda + 40 km of asphalted road.
Option 2:Taking the BR 367, following until the clover of the BA 001 + 60 km until Trancoso. Pousada Etnia is located in the center of Trancoso.
