The hotel is located 10 minutes from the beach. From Camocim you can also get to Jericoacara (2 hours), Tatajuba, a Lagoa da Torta, Maceió e a Barra dos Remédios,or you can let yourself just rest on the Praia das Caraúbas hut with grilled fish and cold caipirinha. With fish on the coals and a cold caipirinha.

If you like calm tours, the Pousada also organizes trips to the amazing Delta of the Parnaíba River and Coreaú River, to the lake or even to the sea on quiet days of empty tide.

The Boutique Casa de São José Hotel invests in sustainable actions, such as: offering its guests fresh fish and fish (bought from local fishermen), carrying out selective garbage collection and using the vegetable garden for the production of organic inputs, composing a large part of its team with the local labor force and being present in discussions about public policies of the city, because it believes that the tourist activity only makes sense when the original beauty of the region is preserved.

Working on demand, the kitchen conciliates the diverse Brazilian gastronomy with some little influences from the mediterranean cuisine, without forgetting the typical Northeast characteristic. All of this is allied to a dedicated service, where the sympathy and dedication are distinctive factors.

The kitesurf and windsurf are the main local sports. Camocim gets strong winds during the wind season, between July and February, and the beautifull Coreaú river - water course that baths Ceará estate, - is excellent for windsurfing (almost in front of Casa de São José). It’s also worth a boat tour and diving in the river; and the Maceió beach, situated near the Caraúbas beach, is a good option for the two windsports, allowing you to fly over the waves in a unique sensation of freedom.
