Observing the fauna and flora of the Parnaíba River Delta is a must-see experience, which can be done on walks or in small canoes by the streams, even at night. During the second semester, with the incidence of the trade winds across the northeast coast, the Canary Island is the great attraction for kitesurfers. It is possible to take walks in the village, ATV rides, sailing, and boat rides and enjoy the flight of the Guarás, as well as night Safari and visit the beach of the Brava beans.

Located within the territory of the Extractivist Reserve Marine Delta of the Parnaíba River – Resex – we preserve the environment so that we can enjoy for a long time this beautiful place. Thus, we reuse the cooking oil to make homemade soap, we separate and collect the waste, we reuse various inputs, for example, we offer to the animals the leftovers of food, avoiding waste, we seek to use in our constructions elements of Region such as straw and wood, as well as studies to implement sustainable energy and structure for rainwater harvesting.

In the Pousada Casa de Cabocloit is possible to taste local dishes, such as the moqueca of mangrove fruits, marizabel of carne de sol, shell of crab, among others and natural juices of fruits, typical in this region. Our kitchen is based on sea bass (fish) bought directly from the fishermen who live in the community.

On the island there is no kite school, the nearest one is located in Barra Grande/I.P., which is 1:30 a.m. away from Tatus Port. But during the season, from August to December, we received a large number of kitesurfers who come in search of the good winds, either for a sail in the Delta or even for a downwind between Barra Grande and Delta and/or Delta Tutoia and Atins.
