The region has many natural charms, conducive to different walks. The variation of the tide is one of the attractions in the region, because it enchants with the beauty when it is very low, with bluish coloration, remembering the Caribbean waters.
BGK is a pousada located on the beach, in the village of Barra Grande, in Cajueiro da Praia-PI, under the shadow of an immense grove of coconut trees. Built with natural materials typical of the region, its rooms promote a perfect interaction between nature and the sailors. A pioneer in the region, the hostel is always involved in the actions for the benefit of the community, whether in the part of the cleaning of the beach, incentive to the sport, culture and education.
In the bar and restaurant at the beach it is possible to enjoy local regions dishes and also seafood. It’s worth trying the delicious Pargo Assado, that is served without spines. Açaí and natural ice creams are sold at the kiosks attached to the beach bar.
Inside the hotel, it’s possible to have Kitesurf and stand-up paddle classes with accredited instructors IKO; rent Kite and SUP equipment or enjoy the equipment storage offered by the sailors to store your equipment.
Via Teresina (a 5 hour drive) or even via the Parnaíba airport (just 40 minutes), and there’s also the nearby towns like Jeri (3 hours) until the charming Barra Grande. All roads that lead to the village are asphalted, making it easy to access by any vehicle. There’s an option to go by bus, rent a car or transfer.
